Albion Summer Series Recap

We had quite the EVENTFUL summer (literally) and we just can't move onto our next favorite season without giving it the proper shout-out that it deserves. I'd also like to add that these events are, in a nutshell, what define this little company of ours.  We are passionate about CREATING A COMMUNITY OF KIND, POSITIVE, TALENTED, and INSPIRING people and these events enable us to meet and mingle with you! And they let us share our favorite people and businesses with you in a fun environment.  The result is pretty powerful: We have seen hundreds of faces this summer of women (and some men!) who are like-minded individuals who want to be happy, want to learn new things, and want to share positive experiences with their loved ones and strangers alike.  There are few things I love more than seeing a customer after one of these events and having her come up to me and say, "You're Liz, right?  Thanks for doing these events. I love them and can't wait to come to the next one." I mean, it WARMS MY HEART!!!  So thank you, thank you, thank you to those who came to participate and of course, to all the amazing partners who help make them happen.

So without further ado, here are some highlights of our summer events-- and PS if you didn't make it these, hopefully we'll see you this fall. We've got some pretty amazing events up our sleeves so stay tuned!

In June we held a Crafting & Cuisine with local artist Aimee Ferre. Guests made these festive 4th of July wreaths and had a night full of crafts, glue, folding papers and a perfect girls night out.

In June we also had HIGH FITNESS in the house! This high energy fitness class is always a huge crowd pleaser over here.

On a calmer note, towards the end of June we had MuvMethod come help us stretch and strengthen our bodies.

Towards the end of June, the ever so talented Nicole Land from Soil & Stem taught our guests at a Crafting & Cuisine how to make a beautiful floral crown.

Look how fabulous they turned out!

Plexus Yoga Wheel is a local Utah company that has invented the YOGA WHEEL. They came up from Utah County in July to teach our guests a FREE yoga class using their wheels. It was such an intuitive way to switch up your yoga game!

Jeni from Jeni Bee Market is a local crafter extraordinaire. She walked our guests through how to make beautiful plates that said "Choose Happy". Everyone's plates looked absolutely unbelievable! It was the perfect girls night out.

In August, we had the HUGE pleasure of hosting Witney Carson's master class! Witney is not only an EXTREMELY talented dancer but also such a light in this world and we loved having the opportunity of hosting her.  She taught us a dance routine and we each felt like we could go to Dancing with the Stars after learning some new moves!

We also trialed our first ever NIGHT TIME GLOW IN THE DARK DANCE PARTY! And don't worry, it most definitely will NOT be our last. Teresa from IntensiT Dance Fitness flew in from Arizona  and the night was nothing short of magical.  Our guests loved it and so did all the spectators around the City Creek mall! :)

And at last! Our first annual Back to You Week!

This past week in our store, we held a series of FREE events everyday in our store to help treat our customers to something fun and relaxing as summer is officially coming to an end. This is what our lineup looked like...

Monday Mountainside Spa came and gave our guests neck and shoulder massages to help our customers leaving feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Tuesday: Rachel and her assistant from Utah Lash Effect tinted and waxed our customers brows. Who doesn't love a good brow shaping?! Especially for free!

Wednesday: Swig n' Sweets popped up in our store offering free sodas and cookies to any customers that came into our store. Have you tried their famous sugar cookie yet? Beware, it's quite life changing.

Thursday: Styling Event with our City Creek store stylists! We love when we get scheduled 1:1 time with our customers. It is the perfect opportunity to walk through items and see which fit best with their personal taste and style. We do several of these throughout the year so be sure to keep your eye out!

Friday: Sephora from City Creek came into our store to apply a perfectly paired lip and cheek on our customers that stopped by. Their artists as well as their makeup is truly incredible and we loved having their presence in our store!

And our last event, our FREE CorePower yoga event on Saturday! Brooke is a wonderful instructor at CorePower in SLC and came to teach an exceptionally beautiful flow. After the event, we had treats from a local favorite Go Dough and L'occitane came from City Creek to help our guests cool down with mists and lotions.

And for our final event of the summer we had CAKE BY COURTNEY in our store on August 30th for a Crafting & Cuisine event. She taught our guests how to make her incredible cakes from beginning to end...  with some taste testing mixed in between of course!

And that's a wrap!

It was a truly incredible summer surrounded by so many amazing hosts and GUESTS! We love connecting with our community here in Utah and hope that each and every one of you will be able to join us one day for an event.

Be sure to @albionfit and @albionfitcitycreek to stay updated on future events!
