“Motherhood is a choice you make everyday, to put someone else's happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you're not sure what the right thing is...and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong.” -Donna Ball

"...from the bottom of my heart I hope she can wear her bathing suit, look in the mirror and pose with a ✌🏼sign and all of that confidence for the next 10, 20, 100 years. I hope she doesn’t struggle like I did with years of obsessive, yo-yo dieting and massive body insecurity. Ugh, I hope this so hard. I know these babies watch us. She repeats and models things I didn’t even notice she caught. So for Elle, my younger self, all the girls - I will proudly wear the suit, even if it means tucking my loose stomach skin into my high waisted bottoms (or letting it free ✌🏼) and ask her for a little “matching bathing suit ooo, ooo” 💃🏼and celebrate a moment before the beach."

"Short, tall, thin, curvy - we’re all beyond beautiful women and every body is beautiful. With summer in full force and the bikinis coming out, don’t forget that the body you’re in is absolutely gorgeous, no matter what society makes you think 💛Unfortunately, EVERYONE has insecurities. And nothing holds you back more than your own insecurities. What y’all can’t see in this photo are the stretch marks on my thighs that I got in middle school - for a while they made me feel super insecure and I hated them, but I can’t do anything about them so I just gotta embrace them now 🤗 Self confidence is the best thing you can wear - Love your body and be KIND to your body, you only have one. 💛"

"I was at the beach cursing my soft arms and soft belly feeling annoyed that Archie and I have about the same amount of muscle tone 😂. A few hours later I took my kids on a four wheeler ride and I had six little arms wrapped around my soft belly, holding onto my soft arms. Their little hands healed me in that moment and helped me remember that my arms are the safest place they know, and my soft belly is a miracle that literally grows humans. I’m done feeling annoyed. This body of mine is a freaking hero."

"'The best advice I’ve ever received is no one else knows what they’re doing either' -Ricky Gervais. I’ve gotten so many DM’s lately about how to be confident in where you are at in life, even when it’s not where you want to be. My answer.. STOP comparing your life to others. Learn to admire others life without questioning your own. After all, comparison isn’t the thief of joy..it’s the thief of everything. Keep your eyes on your own path, celebrate others, celebrate progress and NOT perfection. Cultivate gratitude for what you have, and remember when you wanted what you currently have. Be where you are, not where you think you should be, and most of all just ENJOY life. Honor your pace"

"When I was a kid—I never said, “I want to be pretty when I grow up.” I told everyone how I was going to be a paleontologist but also a zoologist on the side. I was going to be a poet—a dreamer. i talked about changing the world—not changing my body. I didn’t make excuses for wearing my hair up in a messy bun—the hair was getting in my eyes so of course I wanted it up and out of the way. when we’re children, we don’t care about what we look like—we care about who we are and what we’re going to do with this one, precious adventure. I don’t want to worry about how I look—I want to make sure I’m having fun, being kind and changing the world like I always set out to do. "

"'Every day may not be good but there is good in every day'✨🖤 Today was a rough day, there has been a lot of instability in our life lately, and today was no different. BUT I always try to do something each day that makes me feel good! Today @rhettscheurn and I took a dip in the pool to cool off and take a quick break from work and life. Sometimes you just need 30 minutes of sunshine, water, and swimming to make a bad day good"
