Summer is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to jump in the pool, explore the outdoors, and have some fun in the sun. If you’re like us, keeping your hair up—while still looking cute—on a hot day can be a struggle. These three summer hairstyles are cute, versatile, and most importantly—easy to pull off!

Braids are our number one summer hairstyle go-to. They keep your hair out of the way, while still looking cute and styled all day. These pull through braids look great on anyone and are perfect for beach or pool days. Just be sure to add sunscreen to your part! We recommend Sun Bum’s SPF 30 lotion.

To get this look, begin by parting your hair down the middle to split into two sections. Starting on one side, gather the middle section of hair and secure with an elastic.

Gather the two side sections, pull to the front of the middle section, and secure with an elastic.

Repeat this process by splitting each section (whichever is currently behind the other) and wrapping it in front of the other section, and securing with an elastic.

Continue until you are satisfied with the length, secure with an elastic, then carefully loosen each section to give the braids that "bubbled" look.

To complete the look, wrap a piece of hair around the final elastic and secure with a bobby pin!

Tired of the same old ponytail look for the gym? Mix things up a little with some cute braids! This style keeps hair out of your face, stays in place, and gives a fun, edgy look to your workout. Add some dry shampoo and a scrunchie to this style to keep your hair fresh, and add texture.

To get this look, simply section your hair into two parts and begin french braiding on either side of your part until you reach the back of your head. Secure the braids with an elastic

Gather all of your hair into a ponytail, and remove the braid elastics once the hair is secure!

Get this look by gathering the top-middle section of hair (leaving the sides down) and securing at the back of your head with an elastic.

Gather the side-front sections of hair and secure at the back of your head with an elastic, leaving it slightly loose.

Bring two fingers up from the bottom of the side-piece section, twist them 180° to create a loop, grab the top-middle section, and pull it through the loop.
