Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Ingredients:

1 large package of fresh strawberries

1 cup White Chocolate, finely chopped and melted

1-5 drops pink jell food coloring(or red, or your color of choice)

Sprinkles(I used white & pink, but you could use any color you like)

Directions:

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Melt white chocolate in a heatproof bowl in 30 second increments in your microwave until smooth. Divide the chocolate into a few bowls - one will be plain white, and the two others will be different shades of pink.

3. Start by adding 1 drop of food coloring to one of the bowls. Mix until it’s combined and see how you like the shade. If you are happy with it, set it aside - if you want the color to be more saturated, you can achieve darker shades of pink simply by adding a couple more drops of food coloring. Repeat this process with one of the other bowls of melted white chocolate so that you have two different shades of pink in each bowl. I had one very light pink and one darker pink.

4. Dip ⅓ of your fresh strawberries in the plain melted white chocolate. Set on the parchment lined baking sheet to set. Sprinkle a few of these strawberries with desired sprinkle colors while the chocolate is still a bit moist so that they stick. For the white chocolate strawberries, I sprinkled with pink sprinkles.

5. Dip another ⅓ of your strawberries in the lighter shade of pink. Set on the parchment lined baking sheet to set. Sprinkle a few of these strawberries with desired sprinkle colors while the chocolate is still a bit moist so that they stick. For the light pink strawberries, I sprinkled with both white and pink sprinkles.

6. Dip the final ⅓ of your strawberries in the darkest shade of pink. Set on the parchment lined baking sheet to set. Sprinkle a few of these strawberries with desired sprinkle colors while the chocolate is still a bit moist so that they stick. For the dark pink strawberries, I sprinkled with white sprinkles so they would stand out.

Note: If you are planning to drizzle some of your strawberries with contrasting colors of your white chocolate or maybe some dark chocolate, you will want to allow the first coat of chocolate to set completely before you do the second drizzle of chocolate so that the colors don’t run together.
